She took out a pen and paper from her purse, wrote down Fu Shenxing's name, date of birth, address, and handed it to Officer Chen."This is his information, can you help to verify if the details are true?"
Officer Chen glanced at the note and was surprised.
"You know the details so clearly?"
"He showed me his ID card, and with a glance, I memorised his personal information", she answered.
Officer Chen could not help but laugh again. "You remembered so much just with one glance. Your memory is good."
Her memory is indeed good. It was why she remembered the details of that night so vividly, such as his face, his voice and the way he looked at her... these details reappeared in her nightmares over and over again. She reminded herself not to think about them, and looked at Officer Chen pitifully. "So is that okay? Can you help me with this?"
A beautiful girl's request is always difficult for men to refuse. Officer Chen smiled and clipped the note into his little notepad. "OK, I'll check it for you when I have a chance to do so."
He is a kind-hearted person.
A few days later, he called He Yan.
"Miss He, I have checked the details for you. Fu Shenxing is indeed a real person, and his identity information is also true. How should I say this?"
He paused and smiled, "No wonder you were shocked. I was shocked as well. It can be startling, but when I compared his photo with the criminal’s photos, the difference between the two is noticeable.”
He Yan felt relieved and thanked Officer Chen, “Thank you very much.”
He officer asked her, "Did that person contact you again?"
"No." She answered.
"Hey, maybe he just wants to pursue a beautiful girl. Maybe he found it weird as well, that he looks so good and yet he was mistaken as a criminal !" Officer Chen joked and encouraged her again: "Miss He, forget the past and live a good life!"
She was really grateful to the police officer and profusely thanked him.
"If you have any other troubles in the future, you can call me, don't worry." Officer Chen laughed. "If that kiddo bothers you again, ask me for help!"
To be fair, the previous two encounters were unrelated. After He Yan determined that Fu Shenxing and Shen Zhijie are two different people, she looked at the problem rationally and objectively and concluded that this was her own issue.
Fu Shenxing didn't contact her again.
She met the female colleague of the Academic Affairs Office in school. The colleague was disappointed. She called and he answered the phone call, but he did not come. Instead, it was another man who came to the school. He was tall, strong and had a broad face.
He Yan knew that it was the man who drove Fu Shenxing, his bodyguard.
He Yan comforted her colleagues a few words, but she felt more relaxed. Her life seemed to return to calm all at once. Fu Shenxing had suddenly appeared in her life, gave her a scare, and then disappeared without a trace.
She signed up to her alma mater as a student and went to look for her teacher. Even though her teacher really liked her a lot, as a life long academia, he insisted that she had to rely on her own abilities to enter the school without his guidance.
He Yan sent the teacher a "laughing and crying" meme on their online chat to describe her helplessness towards studies.
Her parents did not support her further studies. Even though her family was not wealthy, they were not short of money either. They felt that she could easily live a life without having to work so hard. Fortunately, Liang Yuanze was supportive of her and helped her to research for information. The only thing that He Yan didn't like was that he was not a professor, so he was unable to guide her with her studies.
She had to work hard and face the choppy waves, which contrasted her family who often encountered good things. Firstly, both her parents won a Tourism Award. The old couple went out together to visit the great mountains and rivers of Motherland *. Then, Liang Yuanze got a rare opportunity to go abroad for training.
He Yan was both envious and jealous. When she was packing Liang Yuanze's items, she couldn't help it and dropped his suitcase on the ground, speaking disdainfully: "I don't care anymore, I'm going to be an asshole soon, so I am not going to perform the role of a good wife and mother!"
Liang Yuanze couldn't help but laugh. He went up to the bed and came on top of her. "If you don't want me to go, then I won't go. Your parents are not homed. I'm not comfortable with the thought of leaving you alone."
Despite those words, He Yan was no longer a child, so she did not need the companionship of a guardian at all times. This opportunity was really rare for Yuan Ze and certainly for his career development. She grabbed his collar by hand and said in a half truthful manner: "Relax, I won't stumble on your hind legs during this critical moment as your wife. Husband, you can rest assured and go learn long-term skills, while I will be at school studying hard for the future. We, husband and wife are like wings soaring and flying together in the sky."
Liang Yuanze was amused by her. He lowered her head and kissed her again, and then teased her. "Sow some seeds before you leave, so that you will have a good harvest next year." The two of them were tumbling on the bed, and most of the time he outpowered her, but sometimes she was able to obtain the upper hand and placed him under her. She asked him haughtily: "Do you acknowledge defeat? Do you?"
"How could I not?" He gasped, but his eyes were soft and watery, and he said,"Yanyan, I love you."
She leaned down, kissed his lips, and responded to him,"Yuanze, I love you too."
She loves him very much.
After sending away Liang Yuanze, she packed up her schoolbags and went to school to review her homework. She mixed with the students and went to the library to occupy a seat. People often mistook her as a student. Within two days, they recognised her. A boy offered to help her occupy a seat.
She called Liang Yuanze and talked about it with great pride. "Oh, Yuanze, you earned by marrying me. I look so tender. When you are almost fifty, I will look like I am in my thirties. People will surely think that you are a successful person. Otherwise, how can you get such a young girl!"
Liang Yuanze smiled and asked her to take care of herself. "If you find studying difficult, you can drop out. You can still take the exam next year- it's not as if I can’t afford it."
“Hey! Keep your crow mouth to yourself, who said I can’t pass the exam this year? Are you looking down on my IQ? To think that I used to be known as the famous genius girl!”
Even so, she was slightly afraid that he was still worried about her being on her own. "Actually, there are not many things ongoing in the school, and the students are quite mature, so they rarely cause trouble for me."
Unfortunately, people, who perceive their situations positively can sometimes find that things have changed for the worse.
