WITP CH 2 P 3

It was as if He Yan saw a ghost. The word "help" was stuck in her throat, and she could not yell. She could only fearfully stare at the man in front of her as she stepped back in panic. In a panic, her high heels stepped into the cracks of the floor tiles and she lost balance, falling heavily onto the ground.
The man took out his sunglasses, walked to her and asked, "Miss, are you okay?"
She kept moving her body backwards and screeched in horror. "Don't come over, there are many people here. They will rush over immediately!"
The man stopped walking and smiled, explaining to her, "Miss, I don't know what caused you to react this way, but I bear no ill intentions. If I caused you fear, then I am sorry, I will leave now."
As he spoke, he slowly took step by step back, leaning down again and asked, "Will you be okay by yourself? Do I need to call someone else to come?"
He Yan remained in silence and flinched her body away, looking at him with fear and vigilance.
"Okay okay, I will leave immediately." The man softly and calmly said. He raised his wrist to look at his watch, and pointed at his car with his finger, and added, "Miss, I will probably come back in half an hour's time to drive."
Without saying anything else, he strode away.
The sun was shining in the sky, but He Yan's entire body was acting as if she had just come out of an ice cave. She was shaking with cold. He Yan was still sitting on the ground, with her skirt covered with dust. The broken skin of her palm was faintly painful, but He Yan had no time to take care of it. She took her hand out of her purse with her other trembling hand and dialed Liang Yuanze's number.
"He has found me! He has found me!" She was like a startled bird- only knowing how to repeat the same sentence.
"Who?" Liang Yuanze asked.
She anxiously replied, "It's him, I saw him! He has come back to find me!"
It was as if time had reverted back to the faraway past. She woke up from her dreams countless times, crying to Yuan Ze that "they" had found her. Liang Yuanze was silent. Then, he softly comforted her. "Yan Yan, it is all right. They are already dead- those three people are dead. Do not be afraid, tell me where you are."
It was unclear on whether it was her husband's calm voice that calmed her down, or it was the strong summer sun that drove the chills away. He Yan was more composed now. She slowly replied: "I'm at school, just behind the office building."
"Is there anyone around?" Liang Yuanze asked again.
She looked around, seeing people in the distance that continued to pass by. Some students saw her and were hesitating to come over.
"Some students are coming over," she answered.
Liang Yuanze laughed and softly teased her. "Quickly wipe your face, or else your students will laugh at you. The weather is so hot. Are you having a little heat stroke, which caused your eyes to mistake the wrong person?"
The reason was indeed persuasive. He Yan let out a low "uh" sound. A boy came over to check on her, and asked, "Teacher He, are you okay?"
He Yan knows this boy. He is a third-year English student who is part of the student union. He often came to the hospital to help. "It's okay, I'm okay." She answered and then hurriedly said goodbye to Liang Yuanze, hunged up the phone then went on to explained to the boy. "My leg sprain was caused by my careless walking."
She smiled a little awkwardly and tried to stand by herself.
The boy hurried helped her, and asked, "Can you still walk? Do you need to go to the hospital to check it out?"
He Yan's heels were not high, so the sprain was not serious. She stood there and moved her ankles. Then, she tried a few steps. Although it hurt a little, it was not a major issue. She waved her hand and declined the boy's help, and slowly walked into the office building. As soon as she entered the office, a colleague called for her. "Teacher He, your timing is just right. A student's guardian is looking for you."
She looked up and saw a man leaning in front of the window. He turned his head to the door and looked at her. Her first reaction was to run away, but her body froze- as if she was a prey being stared by a predator.
He nodded slightly to her. "Hello, Teacher He."
Her colleague did not pay attention to He Yan's unusual behaviour, and gave her a brief introduction: "This is one of your class student's older brother. He has come to settle his sister's school suspension."
He Yan did not speak and continued to stare at the man.
There were two voices in her brain arguing fiercely. One voice was madly screaming,

"It's him, that is the murderer, they have the same voice and face!"
Another sensible voice was telling her, "He Yan, please calm down. The murderer has been executed. This is something that Yuanze confirmed. It is impossible for a person to die and then resurrect. This is another person who has nothing to do with him. They just happen to look alike."
The man smiled lightly, albeit a little helpless. "Teacher He, I am not a tiger, I do not eat people. I am Yu Jia's cousin. My name is Fu Shenxing,.. you can see my ID card." As a follow up to his words, he really pulled out his ID card from his wallet and walked over to He Yan, wanting to show her.
He Yan moved back subconsciously. Seeing her reaction, he stopped halfway and leaned over to put the ID card on the table that was between them. He reached his hand out as a gesture. "You can check it."
Her colleague was confused and looked at He Yan in suspicion. "Teacher He, what's wrong?"
He Yan didn't answer. She picked up the ID card on the table, and vigilantly looked at the man. Then, she lowered her head to look at the ID card. Name: Fu Shenxing, male, 28 years old, Address: Nanzhao. The man in the photo looked very young, like he was in his early twenties, with fair and short hair, and a handsome face that exuded kindness.
She carefully looked at the back of the card, which marked the date of issuance. It indicated that his ID photo was taken when he was 20 years old.
Such a gentle-looking young man really does not seem to be a gangster from the underworld.
He Yan breathed a sigh of relief, stabilized her feelings, and returned the ID card. She apologetically said, "I'm sorry, Mr Fu, I have a reason for reacting this way, which may have caused a little misunderstanding. I'm sorry."

Fu Shenxing smiled lightly and did not ask for an explanation. Instead, he simply said, "Teacher He, Yu Jia has been on sick leave due to medical reasons. Her family has decided that she is going to take a one-year school break and go abroad for recuperation. Her home is out of town, so it is not convenient for her parents to travel here. Therefore, they have entrusted me to handle her suspension issue."
