[Four years later in Nanzhao City]
Nanzhao City is surrounded by mountains and waters. It is famous for its beautiful scenery since ancient times. He Yan's parents originally did not plan to leave the village, but they really like the environment here. Additionally, He Yan settled here with her husband. After a difficult decision-making process, He Yan's mother sold her old house and moved to Nanzhao with her daughter.
They bought a house that was opposite the district where He Yan was living at. It was just a narrow road across, which didn't require her more than ten minutes to reach. Liang Yuanze could not help but make fun of her: "your parents' house is near. It is convenient to run there, but I'm afraid that you will become impatient under the care of your parents, and then you will come and complain to me in a few days time."
He Yan squinted at him, with her feet curled into the sofa, and slowly turned the magazine in her hands. She deliberately and coquettishly said, " Husband, someone has spent finished her salary this month again, and the beauty care card has no money."
Liang Yuanze smiled helplessly. "My wife, your husband's credit card is in your hands, do you still need to ask me for money? '
"Proper greetings still have to be done," she chirpily smiled at the edge of her lips and reached her leg out to kick Yuan Ze. "When are we supposed to go for our health screening? People have said that even men should check as well so that both the male and female bodies are in good condition. Then the baby will be strong and healthy!"
They have been married for two years, and they were still in their honeymoon period, ready and in preparation for a child.
"There is no problem with my body..." Liang Yuanze grabbed her restless foot and rubbed it lightly, but his body leaned over and said ambiguously, "Don't you already know?"
He Yan chuckled and gently kicked him. "If you don't go to the hospital, then I won't go too!"
Liang Yuanze had always listened to her, and in less than two days, he followed her to the hospital for examination. Both the husband and wife were in good condition, so the doctor only prescribed some vitamin tablets to be taken during pregnancy. By the time they came out of the hospital, it was almost noon. After having a simple lunch outside, Liang Yuanze drove directly to his company. On the other hand, He Yan walked around the shopping mall, and then went back to school without hurry.
The school she worked for was not large; it was recently upgraded to a university. It had new faculties, but there were not many office buildings. In fact, all the teaching staffs from different faculties were put together into the same building. He Yan parked her car in the shade behind the hospital office building as usual. When she got off, a black off-road vehicle came in from outside and parked next to her car.
This car was unfamiliar, as it did not seem to belong to a school teacher. He Yan can not help but slow down, looked at it twice.
The door was opened, and a man wearing sunglasses came out of the car. He was dressed in leather shirts and jeans. He was tall and slim, but for He Yan who was a gym-goer, she knew that he had muscles. The man may look thin, but his muscles were covered by his clothes.
However, she was uninterested. She loved Liang Yuanze so much that she was almost blind to other men except for him. In fact, most men looked vague in her eyes.
The man leaned on the car door looking at her, and leisurely asked, "Miss, may I ask if the office of the School of Foreign Languages is in this building?"
His voice was characteristic. It was low and sweet, but also indescribable. To others, his voice was soothing to hear for the summer, but to her, his voice was shocking. The originally faded away short-lived nightmare that had been suppressed in the depths of her memories reappeared in a flash.
It threw her back to that day.
Under the moonlight, the man's sharp eyes fell across her face, and his expression stayed indifferent. "Better be clean. Don't leave any mess behind."
That voice was the sound that she could not forget in her entire life.
